Lenin peak - 7134 m

Ascention to Lenin peak. For the prepared climbers possessing experience in high-altitude ascentions (even Elbrus).


The ascent to Lenin peak is difficult climbing ascent meant only to people possessing experience in high-altitude climbing ascents (as a minimum Elbrus). Besides will power and endurance to make an ascent to Lenin peak, the expensive climbing equipment, clothes and footwear (plastic boots) are  required.


 Lenin peak is located on Pamir - the most high-mountainous system in the south of the former USSR, now - territories of Kirgizstan and Tadjikistan. The highest ridges and powerful glaciers are concentrated in the western part of Pamir. Tops of many ridges exceed 6000 m, and in the highest ridges rise above 7000 m. On Pamir there would be three of four mountains above 7000m. The USSR - Lenin peaks (7134 m, Trans Alai), peak of Korgenevskaya (7105 м) and the best point - Communism peak (7495 m, it is recently renamed into peak of Ismail Samanie).
  It is necessary to have:
  • The Insurance policy
  • The Backpack (forwarding and assault), a sleeping bag
  • Plastic boots (such as Kopflack)

Personal equipment for an ascent to Lenin peak:

  • Safety system
  • Three carbines and the self-insurance
  • rope clamp, the trigger device
  • crampons
  • Ice-axe, sticks - telescopes





 

The program of tour:


Day 1: Meeting in Osh.
Day 2:
Purchase of food products, official registration of papers.
Day 3: Arrival in base-camp (the Onions glade, 3900m), the device of camp.
Day 4: An ascent to camp 1 (4200m)
Day 5: An acclimatization ascent to camp 2 (5200m). Descent to camp 1 (4200m)
Day 6: Ascent to camp 2 (5200m)
Day 7: An acclimatization ascent to camp 3 (6100m, top Separate). Descent to camp 2 (4200m)
Day 8: Returning to the base-camp (3900m)
Day 9: Rest, a reserve day.
Day 10: An ascent to camp 1 (4200m)
Day 11: An ascent to camp 2 (5200m)
Day 12: An ascent to camp 3 (6100m)
Day 13: An ascent to camp 4 (6400m).
Day 14: Attempt of an ascent.
Day 15: Attempt of an ascent.
Day 16: Descent to camp 1 (4200m).
Day 17: A reserve day.
Day 18: Descent to base-camp (3900m).
Day 19: Returning to Osh.
Day 20: Departure.

Please note!

The program of the tour is not final, and can be changed due to weather conditions, the  condition of participants and other circumstances.

Cost includes:

The transfer from  Osh to the beginning of a route and back. If you want to return earlier, the return trip must be paid separately.

Support by the instructor: the instructor has all mountaineering skills, rendering of the first medical aid and connection with saving service.

Bivouac equipment: tents for 2-3 people, a gas-jet, kettles and other bivouac equipment.

Meals and residing: along the route a high-grade two-single meal plus a snack in the afternoon will be provided. The food is prepared together on gas-jets. Accommodation in tents and mountain shelters.

Equipment: the group climbing equipment necessary on storm of Lenin peak: (a climbing rope, carbines, climbing hooks, a snow shovel and so forth)

Medicine services: the medical first-aid kit, in case of serious complications - immediate transport to the nearest hospital.

Cost does not include:

Transfer to Osh and back home. It is necessary to agree upon a place of a meeting in advance.

Alcohol drinks, batteries, protective cream, objects of personal hygiene.
