This wonderful land was discovered by Russian Cossacks over 3 hundred years ago. Even today, however, Russians know very little about it, to say nothing about tne rest of the world where most people have hardly heard of Kamchatka. And not surprisingly.
In the old times the way to Kamchatka took more than a year and very few devotees dared to make the way to the world's edge with the only purpose to tell others about it.
FishOne of the first Kamchatka's explorers was Stepan Krasheninnikov who wrote the unigue The Description of the Land of Kamchatka. However, those who desired to see the fairy world of Kamchatka with their own eyes broke through all the obstacles. Expeditions with geologists and volcano explorers, autonomous routes — Kamchatka seemed to be re-discovered: black beaches of the ocean line, smoking volcanoes, blue mountain ranges painted with white enamel of snowy peaks. The bears' paths led to the heart of wonderland:
Kamchatka rarely looks like its photographs. This is not due to the fact that a snap is not more than a snap. Like any other Wonderland, Kamchatka is always changing: it is different every new moment. The more you visit it the more mysterious it gets, the more you speak about it, the more it is difficult to find words to describe it.
Kamchatka allures you forever. People come there for a year or two, or three to stay till their old age. Why so? There is no simple explanation. There are probably spots in the world where time flows differently: a month lived in Kamchatka is sometimes egual to a whole life period that one would desire to recall!
From now on Kamchatka is open to everyone: a tourist, a scientist or a businessman. Everyone has an opportunity to experience the magic power of its charm. Route №30.
Fishing on the Bystraya river
Period of realization — May, since July till October.
The Bystraya river is located in the central part of the peninsula of Kamchatka, at its western coast. This river is one of the most accessible and interesting to fishing and rafting. The rout with an extension of about 100 km goes along the virtually unspoilt places. On the river there are a lot of comfortable places for fishing, with deep and wide holes where the fish going on spawning has a rest. Fishing will be organized from bank and during rafting from inflatable rafts.
1st day.
Arrival at the airport. Transfer to a hotel, accommodation, rest, swimming in the pools with thermal water.
2nd day.
Driving by a motor vehicle to the settlement Malki, to the Upper Bystraya (145km). The beginning of rafting and fishing. Spending the night in tents.
3-4-5-6-7th days.
Fishing while rafting. The rafting takes place among majestic mountains of a median ridge along the river with rapids, secure enough for beginners. The main thing is that nature is virtually unspoilt. Spending the night in tents.
8th day.
The ending of rafting and fishing. Driving to the recreation department in the resort area "Paratunka". Accommodation, rest, bathing in swimming-pools with hot thermal water.
9th day.
Guided city tour. Visiting of the fish market. Purchases of souvenirs. Arrival to the airport.
Amount of participants of tour: 5 – 10 persons.
The cost includes:
- 3 time meal a day during the whole tour.
- Service of the guide (the whole tour).
- Service of the cook (the whole tour).
- Service of the interpreter (all tour).
- Base equipment (tents, rafts etc.).
- Transport service (the bus, automobile).
- Residence at a resort.
- Visa support.
- Payment of licenses of fishes out.
The cost does not include:
- Flight from Helsinki to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky
- Residence at a hotel
- The satellite phone.
- Purchase of alcoholic drinks, cigarettes.
- Purchase of souvenirs.
- Visa to Russia
If necessary there is an opportunity to use the satellite phone for an extra fee.
Each participant should have a backpack, a sleeping bag, a rug, fishing tackles for fishing, and subjects of personal hygiene, bathing accessories.
Route №31.
Fishing on the Opala river.
Period of realization — May, since July till October.
- Planned dates started of tour: in June — 23,
- in July — 05, 11, 17, 23, 29,
- in August — 04, 10, 16, 22, 28,
- in September — 03, 09, 15, 21, 27.
The Opala river flows in a mountainous part of the south-west of Kamchatka and runs into the Okhotsk sea. The river is far from settlements and roads. You go by helicopter to the place where the fishing begins and you return back by helicopter too. Fishing will be organized from the bank of the river and from inflatable rafts during rafting. The section of the fishing place is 90kms. On this river it is impossible to have no catch, as it is rich in various kinds of salmon and trout. Near to the river there are hot springs, where you’ll have an opportunity to bathe.
1st day.
Arrival at the airport. Transfer to a hotel, accommodation, rest, swimming in pools with hot thermal water.
2nd day.
Flight by helicopter to the Upper Opala, to the Verhne-Opalinsky hot springs (flight time is 1 hour). The beginning of fishing and rafting. Spending the night in tents.
3-4-5-6-7th days.
Fishing with rafting. Visiting, seeing of hot and cold thermal springs. There is an opportunity to admire the overwhelming views of volcanoes. Rafting takes place along majestic mountains on the river with rapids, secure enough for beginners, the nature is virtually untouched. Spending the night in tents.
8th day.
The ending of rafting and fishing. Returning to the recreation department in the resort area "Paratunka" by helicopter (flight time is 1 hour). Accommodation, rest, bathing in swimming-pools with hot thermal water.
9th day.
Guided city tour. Visiting of the fish market. Purchase of souvenirs. Transfer to the airport.
